Animated Music Video-Project Case Study

For T&T Funkfaktory’s latest single Body In The Street, we’ve created a super engaging animated video that perfectly fits the style and the vibe of the song.
Story Overview:
Briefly, the idea was to create a video that will emphasize the message behind the song, and turn the attention to all the useless killings and deaths around the world. Taking into consideration the global situations with the coronavirus, we have definitely added some scenes which visualize the effects of this pandemic, for example, empty towns, people with masks on their faces waiting in front of a gun shop, etc. But, we didn’t wanted this to be an apocalyptic video, so after the dark beginning , the overall vibe gets brighter throughout the video. Actually, it depicts the lyrics which speak about the changes that the band feel are necessary to inspire people into a “single mind” purpose to bring empathy, understanding, and love to the world.

Video Style:
As far as the style of this video, we went with the comic book/cartoonish style of animated videos that we thought will perfectly work for this project. This style allows us to visually interpret the story we had in mind and in the same time perfectly fit the vibe and the energy of the song throughout the timeline of the video. The colors chosen were an overall black and vibe look with accent hints of red and blue here and there.

A social commentary on the state of our world and a call to an awakening.
In solidarity with the spirit of social justice.

The Full Finished Video

“Freedom is not a state; it is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau where we can finally sit down and rest. Freedom is the continuous action we All must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.”
-Congressman John Lewis-
